Sorry, I'm Not Sorry

Sorry. I'm not sorry.

SCROLL DOWN

Sorry, I'm Not Sorry

Sorry. I'm not sorry.

Ladies. Let's get one thing straight. You are awesome.

And we’ve also been conditioned, over most of our time on earth, to be nice. To be easy-going. To not ruffle any feathers. To end everything with a smile, or a smiley face. To avoid the b-word at all costs.

Language is one of the ways we do it — and in our thumbs-to-keyboard-all-day-erry-day world, how we communicate our thoughts, desires and ideas via the words we choose has never been more important. Texts, blog posts, endless social media updates. And work email, especially.

I became fascinated with this phenomenon, and subsequently appalled, when I realized I was doing the over-nice-ing, over-apologizing thing myself. All. The. Time. Through my own research and experimentation, I learned why it happens, and started changing my behavior to see what would happen.

What happened after changed the way I put myself out into the world, and as a result, my life. After accessing this holy grail of power and confidence, I've been on a mission to spread the fearless, unapologetic word — to women and men alike. Turns out, we're all susceptible to feeling the pressure to mask who we really are — and it’s time to cut that shit out.

Because the world needs you. We need you. At your fullest, unsorriest self.
