Look. I'll be real with you. I didn't want to be a writer at first. But if you think about it, did you know that you wanted to do what you're doing right now? Maybe you did, and you're one of those assholes who had their shit together from the very beginning. I envy you, asshole.
My parents were a little worried about my ideas about being "an artist, or something". Stuff about money, or security, or whatever. I explored some questionable "career paths" (nothing illegal) until I found my way into copywriting. I started out in advertising at Creature, freelanced at some rad Seattle shops like Wexley School for Girls, and made my way into branding at Hornall Anderson. I like branding.
What I like is uncovering the soul of a brand. I like imagining new ways to express it, to connect to people with real, fundamental, shared meaning. I like starting from a sound foundation of creative strategy to build strong, conceptual ideas. I do my best work for brands who care, who have heart, who aim to do well. I aim for my work to have all the feels. To make you feel the feels.
Beyond copywriting, I'm a visual artist, lecturer, amateur photographer, voracious pizza enthusiast, book addict, treasure hunter, and as you may have observed, outer space obsessive. I don't know if you know this, but WE ARE MADE FROM STARS, PEOPLE.
I crave new challenges. I pursue new ways to stretch my creative brain and abilities. In short, I'm game. Let's do this.
